Where's The Raffle Money Going?
We want to supercharge the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) to build out robust green infrastructure in our community. For just $200, the proceeds from the raffle will fund our big vision of a world with non-polluting, carbon-free, renewable energy for all.

- Upgrading low-income residences to lower energy burden and spread the fruits of beneficial electrification

The EAC is a feisty local environmental policy and advocacy nonprofit in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. Our efforts have spearheaded the creation of an Environmental Sustainability Board (ESB) in our community and the adoption of net zero emissions by 2050 by several regional municipalities.

How Does Our Raffle Work?
The Environmental Action Community (EAC) of Western North Carolina is raffling off a customizable Rivian R1 Series electric vehicle on July 13, 2024. We are selling only 5000 tickets at $200 each. Chances of winning are excellent!
Winner gets to choose between a R1T Truck or R1S SUV model!
What are the Rivian's Features?
Driver+ features are standard on every Rivian vehicle. Some may be introduced through over-the-air software updates following start of production, including Lane Change Assist and Trailer Assist. Driver+ is designed to support drivers and does not replace their attention, judgment, and need to control the vehicle.

Who is eligible to buy a ticket?
You must be 18 years or older to buy a raffle ticket. Those under 18 are not eligible to benefit from ticket purchases.
Both the ticket purchaser and, if different, the beneficiary must be U.S. citizens or legal residents.

Individuals serving as board members/employees of the Environmental Action Community of WNC, and their immediate family members are not eligible to win. For purposes of this raffle, “immediate family” includes the Board member/employee, their spouse or partner, and any parent or adult children currently living in the Board members household.
Our objective in establishing and enforcing these eligibility rules is to prevent conflicts of interest or their perceived existence, ensuring a fair and transparent raffle process.
Are tickets tax deductible?
Raffle tickets are NOT tax-deductible.
What is the Raffle Timeline?
Ticket sales begin: Friday, April 19, 2024 at 10 am EDT.
Raffle tickets will be sold up to the maximum of 5,000 valid tickets.
Ticket sales will cease as soon as the maximum is reached or the sales period expires.
Ticket sales conclude: Saturday, July 13 at 6 pm EDT.
When Is the drawing for the Raffle winner?
The winner will be announced on live-stream beginning at 7 pm EDT July 13, 2024, and instructions for locating and joining the live stream will be published on the website and sent to participants via email.
How do you purchase a Raffle Entry?
Tickets may be purchased by using one of the Buy/Purchase Tickets Buttons on the Raffle website.

The price of a single ticket is $200.

Each purchaser will receive an electronic purchase receipt and ticket number delivered to their email address.
Can I help cover the fee charged by RallyUp?
Yes. RallyUp charges the EAC money for each ticket sold. If you would like to add a tip to cover that cost (every little bit helps), we’d be most grateful.
Can I purchase a ticket for someone else?
If a raffle ticket buyer is purchasing a ticket on behalf of someone else, they will need to use the recipient’s information for everything.
Prize Description
A customizable Rivian R1S SUV or R1T pickup truck up to a maximum expenditure of $94,000. The raffle prize also includes state and federal taxes for a total prize value of: $125,000.

Is Rivian part of the NACS (Tesla) network of chargers?
Yes. Rivian entered into an agreement with Tesla, and in April, 2024, Rivian owners will be able to access Tesla Superchargers, also known as SAE J3400 or North American Charging Standard (NACS). This development effectively doubles available DC fast chargers overnight, and it gives Rivian access to Tesla’s reliable and expansive network of superchargers.
